BioMy mad scientist uncle killed the first Blue Beetle, so I took up the name and the legacy. Only problem? I don't have superpowers. But that's not a problem when you're an Olympic class athlete with mad hand-to-hand combat skills and an I.Q. of 192. I built all my own equipment while maintaining the appearance of a playboy millionaire inventor for the family company, KORD Industries. By the way, I do it better than Batman. :D
Served on the Justice League for a while, retired, got dragged out of retirement, retired again...you see where this is going.
Recently became aware that somebody was embezzling the family fortune. It turned out to be a lot bigger than embezzlement, something that impacted the superhero community as a whole. As usual, nobody but Booster listened to me. Somebody tried to kill me, then somebody actually did kill me: Maxwell Lord, somebody I thought I could trust.
Long story short, I died, I got better, I could go for a cheesesteak right about now.
